Indonesian Passport Renewal Guidance
You can do your passport renewal at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore which is located at 7 Chatsworth Road, Singapore 249761. However, at the time, you can’t just walk in; you must first arrange an appointment.
To begin the process, follow these steps:
- Visit the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore’s website for detailed information on passport renewal requirements.
- Schedule an appointment through the Embassy’s online portal.
- Download and fill out the passport renewal application form.
- Gather all necessary documents for your appointment – we’ll explain what you need shortly.
- Attend your appointment, which may include an interview, capturing new photos and/or biometric data.
- Make payment of passport renewal fee in cash.
- Wait for your passport renewal to be done.
- Your new passport will be mailed to you.
Can I renew an Indonesian passport online?
While you can schedule your appointment for passport renewal online, you must attend the Embassy in person or participate in an online appointment or interview.
The Embassy staff will verify your identity, capture new photos or biometric data, and collect your old passport, all of which require your physical presence.
What documents are needed to renew an Indonesian passport?
For your passport renewal appointment, ensure you have the following documents:
- Your current passport
- The completed passport renewal application form
- A valid Singapore ID card, such as a Work Permit, Employment Pass, Student Pass, or Long-term Visit Pass

Renewing a passport for someone else?
If you’re renewing a passport for a child under 18 or another individual (such as a domestic worker), the requirements may vary:
- For a child under 18 years old, additional documents include a Singapore birth certificate or birth registration from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate, along with the parent’s ID cards, passport, marriage or divorce certificate, and a letter of consent from the parents.
- For a domestic worker, you’ll need all standard ID documents, the completed application form, and as the employer, a copy of your Singaporean Identity Card.
How long does it take to receive my new passport?
After your appointment and submission of your application, your new Indonesian passport should be issued within 3 working days.
If you need it sooner, the Express Same Day service is available for an additional fee.
It’s recommended to begin the renewal process when your passport has 6 months of validity remaining.
