Inquire Through an Employment Agency
Employers can also access to the maid’s employment history through their agency. The maid’s employment agency will receive the maid’s former employer’s contact details from MOM. Therefore, the agency can get in touch with the former employers and inquire about their interactions with the maid. A maid will be immediately blacklisted if she is found guilty of any offence or has violated the laws of Singapore.
Finding the right maid will be easier if you outline some expectations and requirements early on in the discussion or search:
- The maid’s salary
- The health of the maid
